Norma Jean (Dupuis) Beck

Norma Jean Beck (Dupuis) joined her Creator before sunrise on February 4th, 2026 at the age of 90. Norma was born on September 10th, 1935 in Toledo, OH, where she lived her whole life.

She married Arnold W. “Abe” Beck on September 12, 1953 and they raised 9 children together.

Resilient, resourceful, and fiercely loving, she was known for her sense of humor and unapologetic authenticity. She was the wise and discerning matriarch for her large family; she taught each family member the importance of faith, to be strong in the face of adversity, and to always find a reason to laugh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Esther Dupuis; two sisters and two brothers; her husband Abe Beck; her son, John Beck; her grandson, Jeffy Burks; and two sons-in-law, Greg Young and Tracy Ball.

Norma is survived by her brother Glenn Dupuis; 8 of her 9 children: Valerie, Kathie, Victoria (Andre) Lemke, Beckie (Chuck) McCracken, Arni (Cris) Beck, Jennifer Beck (Craig Siemen), Barbara (Joe) Surrell, and Theresa Young; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; and many loving friends.

Her family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. Friday February 6th from 3 to 7pm. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will take place Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church 4100 Harvest Lane at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cure PSP Foundation at PSP.org or to the charity of your choice.
